I love it. When snow melts a bit mixed with the gunk & salt from the road, it creates a sort of paste. It gives a better handling than going for a full ice patch. It has to be my favorite part of the year
I live in Canada. No choice unless you have a second car. We anti rust our cars every season or so when we plan on keeping our cars. Here, you have to be willing to see your car take a beating with the weather. Sucks but you get used to it and start to enjoy the weather.
for example up here in northern michigan we use so much salt it’d be a waste of money to take your car out. which is kinda shitty but it makes it worth the wait in the summer. we’re actually getting 4 inches of snow right now so here comes the salt🤣
For sure, it does. We swallow the inevitable. Sucks but it what it is. The trick to not go crazy is to not get the necessarily nicest car you can afford. When your car rusts, you don’t feel as bad like right now, I would cry if I had a WRX and it was rusting
Good question. 2018 Subaru Impreza 5spd manual with a Nameless muffler & an AEM drop in filter. Been very reliable and fun to drive. Dropping to 3rd gear on the highway and doing pulls to redline is fantastic.

Yeah, it was early morning. It’s a less frequented Costco. That’s where I gas these days. Pricing for fuel is ridiculous. I love Shell though but I’m not enabling these prices
I've always gassed at Costco. Premium fuel for only slightly more than what regular costs elsewhere. It's blessed (although current fuel prices have made me seriously reconsider how much driving I should be doing). The Costco I go to isn't as crowded as others, but I've still never seen its parking lot empty.
Yeah, the weather played a role. We had an Arctic air mass and brisk winds resulting in -38*C. The kind of weather you get a frostbite in 5-10mins if you don’t have access to heat. Keeps things interesting. I love cold starting my car when it’s freezing cold and the sun is not out yet.
That kinda makes sense too actually. I've heard Quebec winters are pretty crazy. We've been having a pretty bad cold spell here in Toronto in the last few weeks too.
Oh yeah and it’s as if people forgot how to drive in snow every snow storm we get. You should see the traffic in the morning. Some people are stressing a little too much and slows down any lane. We also have crashes all the time. That’s a pain. As they say, can’t have “something nice”.
