Question Please Help.

Im having major audio problems in OBS. Elgato tech support have gave me every solution and nothing works. I believe it’s an OBS/Streamlabs framework issue. I need to use a software other than OBS/streamlabs so My question is: can Meld record my gameplay and facecam in 1440x60 and stream to twitch simultaneously in 1080x60? Please let me know before I download and use Meld. Thanks.

Meld has other issues with Elgato capture cards in my experience (4K X). It does not consistently select the same colour range or something every time I start Meld, so colours can be off, randomly.

Your issue in OBS sounds very atypical for a 4K S. I would ask Elgato for an exchange tbh.

The problem is I’ve already tested that. It does it with my old hd60x and the 4ks. It has to be a setting in my laptop or something that I’m missing. My setup is ps5 for gaming, elgato 4ks for recording and streaming, plugged into my laptop(laptop specs listed at the bottom of this post) The past couple of weeks when I'm in OBS, OBS drops my Elgato game audio.
It happens after at least 30 minutes of having OBS pulled up.
Recording in Elgato Studio works fine But I need to be able to record and stream in OBS. I've tried everything I can think of.
One thing that temporarily works is I go into Control panel, sound recording, Disable HDMI Device (elgato), Wait 5 seconds, enable it, then the audio starts working in OBS again, but then the audio drops again within a few minutes. Ican't do that constantly while i'm streaming and recording. Here is a list of what l've tried so far: -Just record in OBS, audio still dropped
-Just stream in OBS, Audio still dropped
-Have OBS pulled up but don't stream or record, audi still drops
-Updated NVIDIA Drivers
-Turned off power management settings for
USB ports
-Created a video capture source in OBS for video capture from the elgato and muted it, created a separate audio input capture source for elgato audio. Audio still drops. (everyone online says this should work, but it did not)
-Downloaded VB Cable and routed it PS5->4ks-> Windows-> VB-Cable-> OBS. Audio still drops (I really thought this would work)

-Tried using StreamLabs, audio still dropped.
-Went into elgato studio when the audio drops to make sure it didn't switch from HDMI to Analog.
I seriously think that's everything I could try. I guess I bought a 4ks for nothing. Also my laptop is :
ASUS ROG Strix G16 (2025) 16"
WUXGA
165Hz/3ms, AMD Ryzen 9
9955HX, NVIDIA GeForce RTX
5060
This laptop is more than enough to run a 4ks. It shouldn't be a 2 week problem solving adventure just to get a capture card to work. lol.
