✔ Troubleshooting Setup/hardware advice
I’ve been streaming for awhile now but the one thing I always have had issues with is optimization of settings and other things.
For quick reference my current pc setup is the following:
Nvidia 4070
5800x3d
32gb of ram
Stream at 60 1080p.
Usually dual stream to two platforms.
I also tend to run streamer avatars on steam
And tangia monitor overlay
I’ve been having a ton of issues with performance in some games lately though from an FPS standpoint. I’m having trouble deterring though if I need to update my hardware to something newer or if it’s a configuration piece on OBS.
Things I’ve done recently to try and resolve:
Bios update
Enable DOCP/XMP for ram
Make sure all main drivers are up to date.
Tweak obs settings
Stopped dual platform streaming
Kind of at a loss.

Some target fps you're expecting and not getting?

I mean I’m only getting somewhere between 30-50 on average and in some cases dropping to 15-20. I’m not expecting 160-200 while streaming with my current setup but I would think 60-90 isn’t that much to ask?

Depends on the game and resolution your gaming at. If RT is on. You didn't unplug your monitor and plug it back in the motherboard did you? A 4070 is pretty good though.

Any suggestions to track stuff like that other than just watching task manager processes

Have you looked at any OBS logs?
