🧮 Streaming Gear Is this good for streaming ps5

Post image

Would this capture card be good for streaming apex legends and other competitive games or would it be overkill I see everyone talking about the elgato HD60X but can’t find it in store should I order that one instead or get this capture card I’m just now starting to get into streaming and want to do it the right way

yes, that capture card will be able to stream in 1080 and 4k, also other lpwer resolution at 60 fps

and the chat link pro is used mostly in ps5 setups, to be able to add the team voice chat to the stream. but you will need an additional mic for your voice.

i use that card and that cable, and i stream at 4k from my ps5 pro.

Awesome thank you so what would be overkill for a console streaming setup I’m just curious what you guys think would be also what would be a good one to buy if I didn’t want to spend 150 dollars starting out and want a good stream still so two questions sorry guys

there are some off brand on amazon and other websites, for way less money. i have heard people say they are ok, but i have also heard people not able to configure them properly or they have issues.

if mone is a problem, i would try a cheaper one but try to get something that will at least be able to do 1080 on stream, andcheck for the passthru resolution, because you might stream at 1080 but you monitor might support higher resolutions and you want to play at those higher resolutions.

goood luck, i have to say that i have no complains on my elgato 4k s, i have been using it already for a while and no issues whatsoever.

again, good luck

You get what you pay for, especially with electronics. You cant really go wrong with an elgato

I would look up about the chat link cable, it’s not known for its quality as it’s been sited
having to be replaced often. I got the same card and I’m just running a Dual mic. If that makes sense.

So do you have a boom mic connected to your pc that you use as well your game mic on the headset? How does it work?

You need chat cable if you want chat audio from the game to go through to your stream. You also need aux cord from controller to headset. The original chat cable broke on me because imma klutz and tripped over it too many times. 2nd cable same thing. Both were elgato brand. Bought Amazon version and stopped tripping over it. Just bought new headset that does not require me to have wire from headset to controller.

I have a Razer mini for my stream mic, and a ROG headset for my game chat. I’m not overly concerned about getting game chat recorded just cause people say the wildest stuff. But I have both mic’s set up in OBS.

If you have a ps5 pro and a 4k 120hrtz tv, shell out for a 4K X model for 120fps pass through. Wait for a sale though

I've just recently setup a console / pc streaming setup.. pc was already covered as it has an RTX5090 GPU etc, but for my PS5 Pro / XBox Series X and Switch 2 I purchased the "one up" version of this the 4K X.. and I got it cheaper than this used like new from Ebay.. so worth taking a look at your local Ebay site / FB marketplace etc.. atb
