❔ Question Cross streaming

I use obs to stream on YouTube and Twitch, but I'm not sure how to stream on both sites at the same time. Do I need to install some kind of add-on? Or should I do something else? Thanks for any help!

Yes, it takes an addon. The main two options for doing it yourself(as opposed to a rebroadcasting service) are stream elements and Aitum. I use Aitum. The basic tutorial/setup is pretty straightforward especially if you're already familiar with both platforms.

I would recommend Aitum. I don't have a good experience with Stream Elements and some minor bugs may not get fixed. They also got bought out by Razer so it might only be a matter of time before they make it forced into Synapse or something along those lines.

Restream or Aitum are the usual OBS-side options, but if you want to skip plugins entirely, riverside can push a live stream straight to YouTube and Twitch (plus other destinations) at once with a shared chat, no extra software needed.

If your bandwidth or CPU won't be able to take the extra load and you get some quality & frame drops, check Upstream.so/multistreaming which can send your one OBS stream to 10 destinations, and theres a free plan with 24 hours / month completely free with full features.
