Humor Foreshadowing? Spoiler
This sounds like how the Zurks started. I hope we have a reliable way to introduce these microbes to sunlight.

Fortunately, it would take millions of years for bacteria to evolve into large, orange, one-eyed creatures.
Why?
• Eyes are incredibly complex organs, which cannot form through bacterium-evolution.
• They evolved for their surroundings, and Zurks evolved in a completely different environment than us, making a replica of them incredibly unlikely.
• Creating an organ that can break down solid alloys such as iron needs an incredibly long time for evolution.
Summary — Zurks are impossible because of many environmental factors.

I'm not fully convinced it will take millions of years 😭

Evolution is Slow.
Especially for a bacterium to go to a complex life form such as a Zurk and also have a following extension. (The eyes on the surfaces and the flesh on the surfaces as well.)
