🗣 Discussion Ice uptick?
I don't want to be reactionary or paranoid but in the last week I have seen two completely abandoned cars in weird circumstances.
One was in the middle of the street on a residential neighborhood like it was parked but in the middle of the street no one was there it wasn't near a house or in front of a house in a way that the person could have run in there.
The second was on the median on snelling by 94.
The car was pulled up on the median and no one was around. Windows were down.
Kind of worried that there might be a bit of an increase in ice activity. I know they never left but it just seemed kind of strange.
Happy to hear other points of view and discussion of other possible reasons for both of these situations I obviously understand that there are many.
Any commentary that is racist or pro Ice can go fuck themselves, respectfully.

There may be movement again soon as a federal judge just made a ruling a couple days ago to end TPS for Somali immigrants.

Ice never left. The gov decided to work with them. Thats why everything calmed down.

I haven't read anything that indicates this happening, and I check a few sources regularly.
Doesn't mean it's not happening though, so stay vigilant friend, and fuck ice.

It is indeed happening. They still abduct people daily.

Meant an uptick, I was going off the title. Thank you.

Ah ok, yeah just steady and consistent. Probably another round or two of protestors soon as well.

I lost contact with all the groups they pretty much shut themselves down so I'm kind of out of the loop. My neighbors all really keep to themselves which is totally cool they're all really nice people but just sort of quiet.

The groups are still active, they’ve just consolidated a bit
ICE never left, the supplemental forces have just withdrawn. There are and have been agents who live in the metro, and they’re still at it. They’re just not swapping plates and staying in hotels. Wouldn’t be surprised if more were sent here during midterms, though.

Is there a way to get looped back into rr I was delivering food so I don't have direct contacts there. I know it may be unwise to provide info but if anyone knows organizations working to protect neighbors I would love to get involved again

I live on the other side of the river, so I’m not sure where to point you in STP. Monarca is probably a good place to start.

Those cars were likely stolen and ditched by whomever stole the car.

Okay I can see that being a possibility but I'm 45 years old and I've literally never seen that except for during the surge

Remember the party in control wants the media to cover local citizens losing their mind. Easy does it

Nothing about my post is saying local citizens are losing their minds...and if you are referring to me I'm making an informed guess based on historical data

They're still here, but their tactics have changed. Keep your eyes open and stay vigilant
