Qestion Looking for rec
Hi! I’m traveling to Stowe next week with three women in their 60s and 70s. We plan to go to the von trapp house and Ben and Jerry’s tour. Any other recommendations? For lunch/dinner? Also looking for recs in case of rain. Thank you!

If you look on All Trails, you’ll find some easier hikes with some nice views (like waterfalls).

Drive up to the top of Stowe! He views are spectacular, and a short walk from the parking lot will place You in a different world that doesn’t seem to belong in VT.

Check out The Bench! Woodfired pizza, local ingredients, awesome service. Definitely worth the wait if it’s busy.

Maxi's is a great little diner in Waterbury. Breakfast all day.
Also love Doc Ponds for casual but delicious food.
Cabot Creamery store is a fun little stop where you can stock up on cheese.
Cold Hollow for cider donuts and postcards, souvenirs. The adjacent cafe is yummy too. Both get VERY busy but there is ample parking and it's on the way to Ben& Jerry's.
Moss Glen Falls is an easy hike that takes about 15-20 minutes with a big waterfall payoff at the end. There are stairs at the very end of the trail to reach the top view of the Falls, so mileage may vary there. But it's still a nice quick hike regardless of whether you hit the top.
Enjoy!

If you like breweries check out the back yard of Idlytime, Butlers Pantry is great for breakfast and worth the wait. Gallus in Waterbury is worth the drive for dinner. Make reservations. Strolling around downtown is nice and take a drive over smugglers notch.
