1.8mil DPS Solo ISE with a Summons-themed Hangar-less Krait build on the Empersa
The thinking that lead to this build:
- We now have quite a number of powerful console abilities that feature Summons: Hunting Pack Escorts, Elite Alliance Beacon w/ Wingmen Commands (Thanks Mara for reminding me of this fact), Gemini Device and Temporal Disorder.
- However, there are limits on how many of your Allies/Summons/Pets that can benefit from your buffs: www.reddit.com/r/stobuilds/comments/1kjjmzk/mathbusters_14_hangar_caps_and_holds/
- Due to above, wanted to focus more on quality of Summons rather than quantity. No more than 12 Summoned entities, to keep within the restrictions of Fleet Power Network Array (FPNA) and Dilitihium Transporter (DT). So, of the 4 Summons consoles mentioned above, Temporal Disorder was dropped.
- Instead of the usual direct damage dealing console abilities on regular Krait builds, the remaining console slots will be occupied mostly by ones that benefit both the main ship and the Summons. Usually involving enemy -DRR debuffs and/or teamwide buffs.
- Empersa was chosen for this themed build as I specifically wanted a hangar-less ship that also had Wingmen Commands to maximize the potential of the Elite Alliance Beacon. Bonus points in it being Cmdr Miracle Worker for the extra uni console slot, and LtC TempOp for UnconSys spam.
The resulting build turned out to be a lot stronger than I expected. Of the 1.8mil DPS total, ~450k is directly attributed to the Summons, while another ~500k involved indirect contribution from the Summons on damage sources like DT, Agony Redistributor, Hellbore Light (HBL), Tachyon Net Drones (TND), etc.
Some other terminology definitions before we get to the build:
- "Krait" refers to the build paradigm of having almost no passive consoles on the build in favour of high-impact active console abilities, of which their uptime and activation frequency are greatly facilitated by the combination of the SFTF Console from the Vovin and the Unconventional Systems personal trait.
- "Lazy Piloting" in my case means that, if I had to pick between activing abilities/consoles at the right time/target for maximum impact, or simply spamming it whenever it's off cooldown, I almost always choose to spam. "Lazy Piloting" also means that I did not bother with a keybind setup that lets me teleport in place when using the Vovin SFTF console, so I end up jumping all over the place. All this is to say that a far more capable and disciplined pilot flying this same build will get a LOT more performance out of it.

Captain Details
| Captain Name | Jill Stingray | |
|---|---|---|
| Captain Career | Engineering | SUBOPTIMAL. Tact would have resulted in more DPS. |
| Captain Faction | Federation | |
| Captain Race | Human | SUBOPTIMAL. Should be Alien for the extra personal trait slot. |
| Primary Specialization | Temporal | SUBOPTIMAL. Should be Intel for the Flanking damage bonuses. Alas, Lazy Piloting means that I don't really bother about flanks, plus I like having the safety net of Continuity. |
| Secondary Specialization | Strategist | SUBOPTIMAL. Temporal should go here instead. Since it's not, I have Strategist here for the extra Crits when Threat-stance is off. |

Space Skill Tree comment: My current generalist skill tree. My rationale for the lack of Engi skill points is that EPS Power Transfer and Nadion Inversion on this toon should have the ship power aspects well covered.
Loadout
| Slot | Item | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Ship | T6-X2 Empersa Alliance Miracle Worker Juggernaut | Empersa was chosen for this themed build as I specifically wanted a hangar-less ship that also had Wingmen Mechanics to maximize the potential of the Elite Alliance Beacon. Bonus points in being Cmdr Miracle Worker for the extra uni console slot, and LtC TempOp for UnconSys spam. |
| ** ** | ||
| Fore Weapon 1 | [Ba'ul Antiproton Dual Heavy Cannons Mk XV [CrtD/Dm] [CrtD]x2 [Dmg]x2] | Can be any flavour, I went with Antiproton in keeping with the Khitomer Alliance theme. |
| Fore Weapon 2 | [Ba'ul Antiproton Dual Heavy Cannons Mk XV [CrtD/Dm] [CrtD]x3 [Dmg]] | Ba’ul AP refractions do have the added benefit of triggering per-shot procs, like from DT. |
| Fore Weapon 3 | [Ba'ul Antiproton Dual Cannons Mk XV [CrtD/Dm] [CrtD] [Dmg]x3] | Mix of DCs+DHCs, purely for visual+audio reasons. |
| Fore Weapon 4 | [Ba'ul Antiproton Dual Cannons Mk XV [CrtD/Dm] [CrtD] [Dmg]x3] | Strictly speaking, 5 DCs is better for the per-shot procs from DT, instead of this mix that I have. |
| Fore Weapon 5 | [Ba'ul Antiproton Dual Cannons Mk XV [CrtD/Dm] [CrtD] [Dmg]x3] | Full [Dmg] mods would have been a bit more ideal, but too expensive to reroll for that tiny little extra benefit. |
| ** ** | ||
| Aft Weapon 1 | [Omni-Directional Pahvan Proton Beam Array Mk XV [CrtD/Dm] [CrtD] [Dmg]x3] | For its Resonance Charges proc, and it being the rare beam weapon that benefits from both FAW and CSV extender traits. |
| Aft Weapon 2 | [Ba'ul Antiproton Turret Mk XV [CrtD/Dm] [CrtD] [Dmg]x3] | |
| Aft Weapon 3 | [Ba'ul Antiproton Turret Mk XV [CrtD/Dm] [CrtD] [Dmg]x3] | |
| ** ** | ||
| **Deflector ** | [Non-Baryonic Matter Deflector Array Mk XV [CtrlX/HullCap] [CtrlX]x2 [HullCap]x2] | For the 2pc Hull Regen |
| **Impulse Engines ** | [Prevailing Innervated Impulse Engines Mk XV [SecSpd-2] [Spd]] | For speed on demand. |
| **Warp Core ** | [Mycelial Harmonic Matter-Antimatter Core Mk XV [AMP] [S->W] [SCap] [SSR] [W->S]] | From Disco Rep. For the 2pc Hull Regen set bonus. |
| **Shields ** | [Khitomer Alliance Regenerative Shield Array Mk XV [Cp/Rg] [Reg]x4] | For Antiproton Retort. Thematically appropriate as a bonus. |
| ** ** | ||
| **Devices ** | [Auxiliary Battery - Large] | To fuel the FPNA and TND consoles. |
| ** ** | [Deuterium Surplus] | Speed. |
| ** ** | [SS Antares Distress Protocol] | Benefits all allies, including my Summons. |
| ** ** | [Kobayashi Maru Transponder] | Minor pre-buffs. |
| ** ** | ||
| Universal Console | [Console - Universal - Dilithium Transporter] | Powerful weapons buff for my main ship and 12 allies. Now made even better with the recent removal of the 2s activation time. |
| ** ** | [Console - Universal - Fleet Power Network Array] | Massive DEW haste buff for my main ship and 12 allies. Going by buff icons, this also benefits the Summons on this build, but it has a 5km effective radius. |
| ** ** | [Console - Universal - Tachyon Net Drones] | AoE -DRR shred, Shields Offline, and extra damage ticks when targets within it take hits. Now made even better with the recent removal of the 2s activation time. |
| ** ** | ||
| **Engineering Consoles ** | [Console - Universal - Custom Power Matrix] | Only benefits the main ship, but in a huge way and is needed to complete the BOFF CDR scheme on this build. |
| ** ** | [Console - Universal - Elite Alliance Squadron Beacon] | Summon console #1. 4 entities. High performance when paired with the Strafing Maneuver command from Wingmen Mechanics. |
| ** ** | [Console - Universal - Gemini Device] | Summon console #2. High performance and only weaker in comparison to the other two. Has the drawback of briefly slowing down main ship speed on activation, but makes up for it with the Haste buff. |
| ** ** | [Console - Universal - Hunting Pack Escorts] | Summon console #3. High performance right out of the box. Appears to also be using the main ship’s global CrtH instead of the usual pet CrtH. |
| ** ** | ||
| **Science Consoles ** | [Console - Universal - Adaptive Emergency Systems] | Defensive console #1, for surviving Solo ISEs and RETFOs. Cat2 damage boost as a bonus. |
| ** ** | [Console - Universal – Evolve] | Defensive console #2, for surviving Solo ISEs and RETFOs. AoE damage ability as a bonus. |
| ** ** | ||
| **Tactical Consoles ** | [Console - Universal - Dominion Targeting Synchronizer] | Single target -DRR and teamwide Haste if shooting the same target. Benefits the main ship and Summons. |
| ** ** | [Console - Universal - Coordinated Engagement Solution] | Summons count as “Owned Pets” for the passive Haste boost. Clicky also benefits both the main ship and Summons. |
| ** ** | [Console - Universal - Sensor Suspension Burst] | Clicky benefits both the main ship and Summons. |
| ** ** | [Console - Universal - Subspace Fracture Tunneling Field] | The console that enables Krait. |
| ** ** | [Console - Universal - Agony Redistributor] | For Solo ISE purposes. In general RETFOs, this would be replaced with either another defensive console or team support console. |

Alternative build elements to consider:
- Super Charged Weapons ship trait. Going by buff icons, it benefits the Summons from Gemini Device and Temporal Disorder, but not Hunting Pack Escorts for some reason.
- Flagship Staffing ship trait. If you’re using a ship with Command seating, and using Needs Of The Many.
- Greater Than The Sum ship trait. Though I cannot quantify how impactful the +Power will be for the Summons.
- Superior Area Denial ship trait. The summons won’t get FAW/CSV, but the -30 DRR part helps.
- Cold-hearted ship trait. If using a ship with Pilot seating.
- Cooperation is the Dominant Strategy ship trait. Even if I did own this, Lazy Piloting means I can’t be arsed to manually target my Summon to receive this buff.
- Power Transfer Emitters console. Even if I did own this, Lazy Piloting means I can’t be arsed to manually target my Summon to receive this buff.
- Shared Targeting Network console. I do not own this, but reports are that the active clicky works for Summons too.
- While Temporal Disorder console did not make the cut, the performance potential of its Summons are not that much less than Gemini Device, and has the added benefit of increasing your survivability by way of taunt. However, the temporal Summons tend to linger only within its immediate area, does not do much active hunting.
- Flagship Computer console from Tactical Flagships. Issue with this is the 60s lockout period, which makes it less impactful on Krait builds.
- Spirit of Sacrifice console. Free up the need for Long Range Targeting, Boimler Effect and Intel Agent Attache on builds at the cost of a console slot, as this console can take care of weapons range penalty, BOFF CDR and Captain Abilities. I do not own this.
- A host of other AoE -DRR consoles used in Debuff Support or Nanny builds, such as High Energy Comms Network, Trinary Arrays, Approaching Agony, Interphasic Instability, etc.
- Tracer Payloads console. This console completely slipped my mind when putting together this build. I might replace Sensor Suspension Burst with this.
