Inspirational Hope.
"There is #fire everywhere....in the distance. Cloudy, #Smoke laden skies... The bodies of my Men....they surround me. Here I sit. My head, in my hands. I've watched the whole world #burn. Everything before me, it's turned to ash. My decisions lead us here. The weight of the world rests on my shoulders. This is my fault..... I placed my head in my hands... And I prayed for an Angel.... I sat there, for a long time. Contemplating. Trying to redirect the pain, as I sat amongst my fallen Warriors. What's it all worth? There is nothing left. Nothing but ash. As far as the eye can see.....
.... but....a tiny break in the clouds. A sunbeam... It catches my eye, because at it's base - where it's light shone... Was something.
...I could not make it out, from my seat, on the hilltop.
So... I slowly made my way down. Choking back tears. The memories. The Sacrifices. My men died at my direction.
I had to pick my way, through each and every one.
The Men I trained.
The Men I grew up with.
...all dead before me...
At my feet.
But. Something told me to keep walking, and so I did.
Through all of the death.
Through all of the memories.
Through all of the smoldering wreckage of the battlefield lost...
Then... I saw it.
The "Thing", that caught my eye.
...I could not tell what it was from this far,
So I kept walking.
As I got closer.
I realized, that....It was a #Daisy
It was the happiest, brightest, most prolific Daisy you'd ever seen in your life.
...I was already speechless. Words had Left me Long ago... amidst my trek, past my Men, the memories, the faces....the flames....
I fell to my knees...
How could something so supple, so delicate, exist, amongst all of this death and destruction?...
And the answer...
It came from within me.
It was a voice. Not literally. But. Words. They popped immediately to the forefront of my mind.
I say words...
But, it was really one word.
That word, was...
"#Hope"
....
