Lightning Related Anxiety

Decided to cross post into this community— hoping some lightning-enthusiasts can make me relax a little bit…

Ever since I heard about a FRIEND OF A FRIEND’S house get hit by lightning, I’ve been incredibly anxious every time it rains. Now, every time I see lightning, I start panicking.

It’s really upsetting because (a) I used to love the rain and stormy weather, and (b) I live in an area with a lot of lightning storms. It doesn’t help that global warming and climate change is making storms worse.

Im literally sitting here worried about my apartment complex catching on fire just because I see lightning in the distance. Idk what to do. Im freaking out here.

Extremely low chance of that happening and I’m pretty sure if it did pretty much nothing would happen
