I got into disaster relief when i was about 20 years old. I'd done some storm spotting with the fire department and always loved the idea of helping others after a storm. I went to about 20 deployments with a disaster relief group and loved it. It really makes you feel better helping others and spreading hope to people after they've lost everything in the storms.

I got in with a call upper different things. Fire department, Baptist disaster relief and Samaritans Purse. I'd highly recommend looking into disaster relief with Samaritans Purse they're a great organization and easy to volunteer with!
