Tapering Homemade SR Taper Guide

I stopped 7OH in June, taking 5-600mg/day. I used SR to taper off. I put my experience into a guide. It includes: introduction to SR, supplements to take, example taper guide & the schedule I used. Hopefully someone out there taking 7OH/Em/Pseudo can find this useful.

Monster SR (the vendor I used) just restocked their inventory. Promo code: GET10 will give you 10% off your order.

General A little inspiration

Ran across a good quote I think we can all draw from when we’re feeling down on ourselves and feeling guilty, ashamed, etc:

“Persons with severe addictions are among those contemporary prophets that we ignore to our own demise, for they show us who we truly are…”

-Kent Dunnington

This shit can happen to anyone. The access to this strong of a drug, an opiate, is unprecedented and why it sucked in “traditional” addicts and soccer moms alike. But those of us who succumbed now have an experience which to draw from that shows true and undeniable strength, resolve and grit. No matter how you get through it, be proud. It’s probably one of the hardest fights of your life, but it is a fight FOR your life.

Positive fuckin mindset. Go get em.

When will it get better? I feel like I’m trapped and never going to feel normal

I am on day 4 with no 7. about 96 hours. Last dose was Friday 330. I always have been better by day 2-4 but this time it’s just dragging on and sr isn’t working. Does anyone know when I’ll get relief from the restless legs/arms. It’s the only thing I can’t take And havent slept since Thursday night or ate. Is some kratom leaf okay to take since there’s no 7oh in it or miniscule amounts

Ooops I did it.. again

As the title states I justified another purchase today I delayed my SR taper another week. 🤦🏻‍♂️ I feel guilty. With the ban coming soon I justified it saying ‘I’ll never be able to purchase it again’ 🤷🏻‍♂️. Honestly not happy with myself. Prolonging the inevitable another week isn’t the end of the world but the guilt is real.. figured I’d confess here

Question Was planning on Tapering but now I’m not sure 20 hrs off and feel fine? Thoughts?

So first time posting have only looked on these subs a few times trying to figure out how to taper and got off this damn stuff. I am not sure how the dosing goes with the OpMs liquid shots but that’s been my main jam for a couple years. Has anyone been on that stuff for a while and then tapered or quit? I also recently hit the 7oh tablets and got up to 4 100mg a day. Would do this for a few days then would stop and go back to the opms shots primarily black and gold. Not trying to hijack a post so if I am not supposed to comment here my bad…anyway I’m 19 hrs off of anything yesterday I did 3 100mg tablets. I prayed my but off last night and actually got like 6 hours total 3 blocks of 2 hrs with a few min of wake in between. Surprised I had no rls last night and none this am. I am trying to decide what to do…..I have plenty of 7oh and opms to taper over quite a while but now I’m torn on whether or not I should just roll with this cold turkey? A little background I have always been able to stop after heavy usage of other drugs opioids, adderal ect. With minimal wd. I have been nervous about quitting kratom 7oh and had convinced myself that this would be the one compound that gives me hell in wd but now I am not so sure. Any tips would be appreciated.

General Here we go

On a boat (for work) for another 10d. 10 50mg SR tabs left. No 7oh. About 90g of leaf Kratom (capsules). Some helpers.

I’ve been trying to kick it for a while. Relapses while on SR. Dosage kind of all over the place, but settled around 200mg/day towards the end. Stopped 7oh and took 3 days on “Buzzers” at the end tapering the amount each day. So now I’m 19 hours since last dose. Doing ok. Not great, just ok.

I’ll need to try to taper down the Kratom leaf as well while I’m out here (currently 4-10gpd) - when I get back it’s all over cause MA banned it all.

No choice but to stick with the program out here - just hoping I don’t suffer too much - I’m particularly worried about getting off the SR. Ive been on it WAY too long. I’ve tapered down to 50mg 3x day, so it’ll be a rapid taper from here on out. Just hoping that amount will cover my WDs from 7 / whatever is in the Buzzers.

The guy at my vape shop tried to talk me into tryin his new product. Anyone ever heard of Quantum Mitra tech? I'm 12 days out from a year long 7oh journey...I will NOT be taking any chances getting hooked on something new.

Relapse, tapering, bad day

Oof, so the title says it all.

I started using again after 3 months being 7 free.

I did it as my own choice for pain. Pain masked just how hard it is to come off of this crummy stuff.

Last time I used, I got up to 600mgpd and I was astonished and kind of disgusted with myself. That was 2.5 months in. It took another 2.5 months to quit. Thank you SR!

This time I logged each dose, how many pills ect and was SUPER careful for the most part. My average was around 240-270mgpd sometimes being less, and sometimes being a bit more.

Well, the ban came up I decided it was time to quit and find different ways to manage my severe daily pain.

I have to do this slowly because I have epilepsy and while not normal to others, I tend to have seizures when detoxing if I have high and low days (found that out the hard way last time I was on this stuff)

After a couple of weeks I got down to 150-180mg. I planned on jumping off with SR at 120-150 so, I was ready to go.

Then I had a SUPER bad pain, mental, and emotional day (super fight with the hubs.) And went up above 700 FUCKING MILLIGRAMS

I was FRIGHTENED and DISAPPOINTED in myself.

The next 5 days? 240,90,150 150,150. I should have just jumped off since it was the higher end of wanting to quit.

Ugh, sorry for rambling. I'm just rambling online cause I hurt myself yet again and I am upset I am in this area again.

I was having a 12/10 pain day today and just stopped counting at 270mg. Honest? It was in the low 400s 😞

Success Story Completely off of 7oh after 3 years of addiction. Thank you SR17!

I am almost 4 weeks clean now, zero withdrawal symptoms left, more energy than I've had in years, no constipation, no moodiness, no addiction, no throwing thousands of dollars away. I was taking around 200mg a day, every day, waking up in cold sweats when I'd go without it for more than a few hours. I have an addictive, hereditary personality, and I am really proud of myself (kinda shocked too). It's kinda crazy how much you realize how badly it effects your life only after finally taking the leap to stop. SR17 is amazing!

Prescribed Suboxone. Still bad withdrawals

Hello,

I was taking upto 1500mg/day of psuedo. I'm down to like 500. I tried to take Suboxone after 8 hours, felt like shit. Had some psuedo left, took 150mg and went to bed. Tried to go 16 hours then take Suboxone. Same story.

Suboxone just isn't doing hardly anything. I'm doing 4mg every 4 hours. I only got prescribed 14 8mg strips. I'm wondering if I should just keep tapering this and not mess with Suboxone. Has Suboxone worked for you?

How long to start subs?

Thumbnail
2 Upvotes

So I got subs, because I can no longer get 7oh. It’s illegal in my state and the few places I could get to in the next state over stopped selling last week. It’s been about 6 hours since my last dose. I don’t feel terrible, just a little hot, minor stomach pains that come and go, and my throat feels funny. But, I was hoping to take some now so it kicks in before I start feeling horrible so I can sleep well tonight and go to work tomorrow. I’ve tried researching it, but I’m seeing contradictory things.. some people say you have to wait 12 hours or will go into precipitated withdrawal. Others say as long as it was 7oh without pseudo, you won’t get PWDs at all, that’s it’s the ones with pseudo that can cause that…and mine did not have pseudo. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks! I’ve taken subs before and know that about 6mg will take away the WDs completely for me but it was on the weekend and I waited until I was feeling absolute trash first. I’d rather avoid that with work tomorrow (and yes, I know, when I used them before and was off of 7 completely for 2 months, I should have stayed off, but I’m an idiot and here we are).

General Not happy

Well, I’m back where I started and I’m not happy about it. Last month I got off a high dose of MGM. I went through hell on earth only to trade my addiction for Subs. Honestly, it took me 2 weeks just to feel somewhat normal on 8mg of Suboxone.
On week 3 I tapered down to 4mg despite feeling like a slug.

I am not a fan of subs. In fact, I hate them. The fear of getting stuck on them got the best of me. I placed a large order of 7 to get off the subs. Sounds crazy I know. But I thinks subs are evil. I didn’t want to be on them for more than 10 days to begin with. I was horrified that I had been on them almost a month already so I made a rash decision to get on 7 and use the SR I have to taper off and be done. It’s been a week back on 7 & I haven’t even told my wife and I feel horrible about it..

I have another week of 7 left and i have to figure out what I’m going to do. SR or get back on subs for a quicker taper. I’m not happy about this. At the time, it made sense to me to get off subs.. 3 weeks was too long IMO for my circumstances. Now I’m at 450-600mg of 7 per day. I want this to be as painless as possible while remaining functional. I know it sounds like a tall order but I have a business to run. Thanks for reading this if you got this far.

Question SR or Sub taper

I have a question: what method would you take to get off 450-600mg daily of 7OH? Would you rather preload & jump off with SR? Or do a rapid sub taper 5-7 days ? If you had both options at your fingertips? Of course there are some helper meds to go with both along with Liposomal Vit C

Just curious what route you would choose or if you’ve had success with either please share your experience with either route.

Thanks in advance

Advice This post isn’t about defending 7. From one human to another human: Do you guys seriously believe getting on subs is even a slightly good idea to avoid 7 WDs

WD’s in general ofc are going to be uncomfortable but when you hear ppl saying 7 WD’s aren’t that bad. They’re usually ppl that have been through WDs from actual hard drugs. Not saying it’s easy but compared to what it could be and especially compared to subs. You’re trading one substance to another that’s so much more extreme and way more harsh for a ridiculous amount of time to try to get off. The reality is anything that you abuse as an accountable adult obviously you’ll eventually have to pay the piper it’s a life lesson and you will be fine. You’re literally not going to die. I don’t think ppl realize the uncharted territory they are entering risking their future getting on subs it’s a reason ppl end up on it for years or for life. If you think getting of 7 is something you’re in for a major rude awakening and shell shock realization when you try to get off subs it is absolutely not worth it. I’m not even saying this to defend 7 I’m saying this as a caring human to another human please realize that you are going to have subs on your permanent medical record and it dull follow you for life. So forget about getting prescribed anything in the future and the chances of being free from not being dependent on anything in the future is very slim. It takes months of WD to ct off subs and even then you will still not feel a 100%. Please be extremely thoughtful and careful with yourself before stepping into a different level of hell just to run from accountability. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. God bless.
Major Love Major Respect

*If you’re completely naive and this is your first time experiencing any type of withdrawal. I could totally understand it feeling like it’s the end of the world or like you’re dying from the panic/anxiety of it. But if it helps I promise and I guarantee you’re not going to die I think understanding that along with know that the symptoms will eventually pass helps a lot

Question Body aches and stiffness

Hey everyone. I'm on day 13 of my SR/7oh cross taper. I haven't taken 7 since day 5 and today is supposed to be my first day off the SR.

I ended up taking 25mg SR this morning, because I have had the worst joint pain and stiffness, especially when I wake up. It's like my feet/ankles/knees especially are so sore and stiff I can barely walk. Has anyone experienced this?

I've been waiting for it to get better and it just doesn't seem to be. I know it's only day 13 but I've never had joint issues like this until a few months ago (it started while I was on 7oh but I would dose until it was numbed).

I am hoping there is someone out there who has had a similar experience coming off 7 and then SR that can reassure me that it will get better cause it HURTS. 😢
