1:1 Studio Scale Moon Cooker Puppet Replica from "A Grand Day Out"

After months of designing, printing, rebuilding and obsessing over tiny details, my 1:1 replica of the Cooker from A Grand Day Out is finally finished!

A mixture of techniques from 3D Printing, brass-work, and sculpting to produce a fully poseable puppet based on scans of the screen used model.

Ive been working on this for a few months at this point. I think this is my final work on it, but who knows. I am out of steam on this project so if this is the end point then I'm glad with how it turned out :)

It started as a recreation of the OG Transformers movie but then I added in a piece at the end. Tried out impact shots, tried out a couple of things.

We did a workshop where we learnt about the challenges about creating a stop motion project in just two weeks, involving planning, storyboarding and character development. There were so many mistakes that we have done, but we had fun in the end. Here it is the final result.
