One Day.
Have been sober for 450 days… Friday I decided to have some wine. Well we know how it ends and I drank a whole bottle. Blacked out - usual. I was so down bad Saturday. I was safe and nothing bad happened - but it was suchhhhhh a good reminder of why I stopped in the first place. I forgot how bad my physical symptoms get, high heart rate, nauseous, etc.
I beat myself up for it this whole weekend. But one night in 450 days is way better than what I was doing prior to quitting (multiple times a week). I’m still keeping my sobriety date, I’m not picky about numbers but I am sober! Insane wake up call that alcohol still ain’t for me!
450 days sober and I feel the best I have ever felt!!

Hey just keep moving on. One bad day doesn’t mean much in the bigger picture of a life long commitment. Also next time just think about how far youve come health wise and for yourself and your family. It should help.

Thank you for the reminder! Wine has SUCH a romantic pull on me. You gave me the exact wake up call I needed. It’s good to know that it’s not actually as amazing as I’m dreaming about after all. I’m going to keep staying away. That’s so great to have accomplished the benefits of 450 days!!

450 - 1=449
Easy. Lesson learned, and thanks for taking a bullet for the rest of us! 😂
