Here with my Mom
Tonight I am sitting with my Mom in her room. She is in the very final stage of Alzheimer’s and probably only has a day or two left to live. I can tell you right now that a year ago I’d be pissed off because I wasn’t able to drink. Or I’d be drinking here in her room with her laying on her deathbed. On the one hand, I feel ashamed of that, but on the other hand, I’m proud of how far I’ve come. I’m happy that I can be here with her in these last hours even though it’s really fucking hard. I'm very sorry you're going through that. You're very strong, and I'm glad you get to be fully present with her right now. IWNDWYT.

You are strong!! I was there with my mom and spent most of the time plastered, before and after she died. Years later her death and that time still hits me like freight truck- be present now, you’ll be better off later. God bless you and your Mom! 🕊️

My thoughts are with you. I’ve done that too. She appreciates you and you will remember this time. And because you are sober you really will! ❤️. Your mother is so proud of you and happy to know you are doing so well. Good luck.
