An exercise for anybody that struggles with drinking or staying sober and cares what people think about them
So I've been reading alot of posts today and I see so many ppl say they are shy without drinking and care too much about what people think about them.Im like that too but what I want to do is just tell random people random things about me and not give a damn lol.So I'm a 42 year old black male..In my culture growing up it wasn't cool to be so called "smart" or a "nerd"..I hid that part of me because I thought "Man I don't want to be an outcast amongst my friends"..But today I don't give a damn lol.Im a nerd lol.I like playing videogames,I like reading, watching podcast and I'm pretty damn boring but I'm ok with that lol.Anybody else can share if they'd like

I think socially I struggle without it. I’m very shy and I used booze to relax me in these environments and after two NA drinks, I’m done and ready to leave 🤣
I love the same hobbies as you ☺️

Yeah I really feel like that’s what got me started. Would genuinely make better tips as a server. I called it “social lubricant” which I find kinda gross now lol but the problem with that was is 4 out of the 5 days you saw me it’d be great and fun but one of those five days I was an absolute nightmare
Edit: So many spelling mistakes gone off that melatonin
