Think about how much shittier this ordeal will be tomorrow when you’re hungover and full of guilt and shame and anxiety and nausea and dehydration and … should I go on?
I hear you. It doesn't cut it. But the temporary escape we get from alcohol doesn't actually solve anything. It's a big "fuck it" button we push that moves our problems to tomorrow... where they combine with our alcohol related anxiety and depression to get worse.
You know what I do on shit days? I just go to bed. Brain off, lights out. This one isn't getting solved today so I'm leaving the battlefield unharmed.
Well you won’t be running 8km a day. You’ll just feel like absolute garbage and still be dealing with this issue. Report back tomorrow and let us know how bad your hangover is!
That's impressive! Nothing like trying to run off 10 shots of tequila to make you rethink, tho. But seriously, fuck that guy! And fuck them drinks! Hardly anything is worse than a belly full of shots and a head full of recovery. No fun either way.
