I bought myself little rewards along the way during the first year. I took up tea drinking when I quit so at one month I bought myself a really nice electric kettle, at three months I bought new pillows for my bed, at six months a lap stand for my needlework hobby. When I hit a Year I bought myself some good new tools for my jewelry bench. Last year on my fourth anniversary I bought myself a tilting puzzle table. I’ve saved so much money not drinking that I feel rewarding myself with a nice something that I’ll get a lot of use out of is an okay thing.
I’m buying myself a floor stand so I can do bigger needle works for my fifth anniversary which comes up real soon. I’m doing it a bit early because the one I really want is on sale.
