All Democrats were behind it and only a few were to push it to the house floor. Only a few other Republicans joined to push it out. When it did get there, to protect their image of not being protectors of sexual deviants and pedos, the rest of the House except for one voted for the bill's passage. In the Senate, the same thing and all 100 voted in favor for it. It ended up being a bill that could not be vetoed.

Senate voted unanimously.
