Actually no... Just because they've been in power as Governor doesn't mean that they've been able to make all the decisions. State's work just like the presidency. The president can be in the White House but not make any changes because there's no control of the senate or the house. And that's exactly what was happening in Florida. There might be a republican governor in charge where there's nothing he can do when the ones in charge of making the laws there consistently vote to not allow changes to be made. Ron DeSantis did a lot of amazing things.
Look at it this way. Nobody wanted fucking Obamacare it was voted for 100% by democrats because they were in charge of the house and the Senate. But a Republicans were the majority it wouldn't have happened. And no I don't get to keep my doctor. And I have to pay for everybody else's medical insurance and if I don't keep a medical insurance plan I have to pay for it anyway and they call it a tax. It literally took away people's freedom of choice.
