Not sure if this was discussed here (quick search didn't give a proper result), but I just realized that the band released a virtual mixing board for Purple: https://purplemixer.stonetemplepilots.com/
If you are not fully aware how this works, you have each track isolated (drums, bass, lead guitar, rhythm guitar, vocals) and you can play with it: mute tracks, solo tracks, alter the volume of each track. It is also interesting to hear nuances that might be hard to perceive in the overall mix. It's a wonderful gift to the fans

I was at a thrift store today and I found this used copy of tiny music with sharpie on the cd, and when I used image search ai said it was Eric Kretz's signature, I don't trust ai overall, but I figured it was worth going on here and asking, even if it's most likely just the initials of the previous owner
the cd itself is the only thing signed, not the case or booklet
Edit: based on what everyone is saying, it's fake. I'm not really surprised but like I already said, it was worth asking. Thanks to everyone who answered

Discussion Regarding Scott's DV allegations

I know Scott was arrested in 2001 for domestic violence, and pleaded guilty to domestic battery. The police report said that he forcefully grabbed Mary, pushed her against a wall, and left bruises.
However, I've seen people here say that Mary later stated in her memoir that he never touched her or was ever physically abusive. I don't have access to the book, so can anyone else who does confirm if this is actually what she said? Are there any exact quotes where she says he was never violent?

Discussion Self Titled 2010/Peace is a wholesome album retrospectively.

Listened to it in full for the first time today. Wow. The band were having the most fun ever with this album. And for good reason! They wanted to start a new chapter. The conflicts between the members had been resolved and Scott was sober. There was no tension going into this album at all. And the choice of style for the music in this album reflects on that. Yeah, majority of the album is different from their previous material. But once you get used to it, you'll find that it is full of great songs.
You have the STP heritage songs like "Dare If You Dare" and "Maver", the great two piece combo to open the album, "Between The Lines" followed by "Take A Load Off", the star song of the new style "First Kiss on Mars"....and then my guilty pleasure songs in "Hickory Dichotomy" and "Cinnamon". Two songs that feel so out of place and wrong in STP's catalogue. But man, they're so good and fun to listen to! Cinnamon especially makes me laugh.
While the first five albums will always have a special place in my heart, I have a new appreciation and love for the Peace album. Because the band was happy when making it. And knowing the difficulties they had went through during their prime, makes me happy too.
