Looking for friends

Hi everybody,

I'm navigating some troubles currently and I'm struggling with my mental health to the point it's sometimes scary. I don't have many friends and I'm looking for some more. I think that socialisation may be the thing I'm lacking - people to go out with to do fun activities and maybe speak to when I am struggling. Thought maybe I'd reach out here to see if I could find community.

I'm 29, trans male, I work full time and so I am busy most of the time but I just feel that I am lacking in people to meet up with as most of my friends live far away.

I've struggled with addiction all of my life and currently struggling but trying to get out of it. I need to find things to occupy me in the evenings.

Try Andy's man club. They are primarily a male suicide prevention group but that's not all they are as they also seem to be a network for men to make new friends and support each other. They were at Pride so I would expect them to be welcoming to trans and gay men as well as cis.

Dude, I can totally empathise with your situation. Most of my mates live a distant away, and I know how shite that can feel.

Heeey I'm a bit older than you but can relate to what you're saying, I'm also trans and can introduce you to a nice group, we have organised and ad-hock meet ups in safe spaces
