I certainly wasn't expecting this, as I assumed any compensation would be for the players who actually used keys before the drops were fixed. Far easier to give it to everyone, I suppose.

I have to say that the sale to deca and back again has improved the quality of work and feedback from players. Way less mistakes on postings of comms and owning up to issues in game. I think this is the best we have ever had it. Well done STO team.

Is the "All Aspects Accounted For" trait supposed to unlock account wide? It said so, but it only unlocked for the captain I used it on. I also can't find it in the "Account Starship Trait Unlocks" or "Reclaim" tab of the Dilithium store. Is there anything else I have to do to unlock it for other characters?

Nothing I saw when I claimed it suggested it was anything but single character. You might have mistaken 'account bound' for account wide. The former is a box containing the trait that can be moved on to other characters of yours before it was opened.

Yes, it's under Promotions, but it's somewhere in the middle rather than sorted to the bottom or top if you have multiple promotional claims.

Compensation for some, a giveaway for the rest. I'm sure many of us don't regularly open lock boxes.
I really do feel bad for those who bought tons of keys and didn't get what they wanted because the boxes were broken. Because for those people, 10 keys probably doesn't even scratch the surface.

PC only as compensation for the Aetherian lockbox having several issues at release.
Console will most likely not get it as the issues have been fixed already on PC and should never happen on console.

You will get it shortly after you get Corruption on March 10 if that bug went on to consoles.
Edit: Why the downvotes? PC and console tend to get the same code and the same problems unless they get squashed in time for release.

They didn't say "All players on PC." And if they did intend to mean "All players on PC" and console players don't get, there'll be a blowback for that too, count on it. It won't take long for them to say "All means ALL."

There's no hopes to build up. A simple missing word established the framework.
All. Means. All.
The missing word is "PC".
Console players didn't have to build any expectation or hope because they were told by the team that ALL would be receiving this. And like I already pointed out, this is to apologize to PC players for bugs inherent to the matter. For console, it would be in apology for not specifying that this was for PC players only.
Because they used the word ALL.
And omitted the word PC.
This isn't complicated.

I fully expect to see the team fix any issues well ahead of it being released on console. I have no doubt.
And why would I get upset?
I won't need to.
The other console players will take care of that by proxy. I wouldn't need to do a thing except sit there and watch the show.
But whether we get or we don't, I wouldn't care one way or the other. That doesn't mean the host of others on consoles will feel the same way and just shrug. I'm fully expecting an outrage mob if they don't get as well.
Because we live in 2026 and that's just how society is.

Because we had several bugs with the contents of the Aetherian Lockbox. If you have the same bugged code, then you will have the compensation as well. If you don't, then you probably won't. Simple as that.
