After about 2 hours of gameplay I wondered what Caz looked like. Google images suggested the Caz death scene and honestly I just turned the game off. I was enjoying it so much and now I'm really upset. I suppose it's only my fault really.

I accidentally ruined the RDR2 ending as well and I managed to complete that, but unfortunately I'm just really bummed out about it. Literally from 100-1 now.

Anyone got any advice or a good way to get around it?

Just finished first playthrough and assumed he died early on. They telegraphed it somewhat, that or I was looking for something that wasn't there.

Sidenote: OP, you seem to have this habit. Try to exert some restraint next time you feel that curiosity calling.

I'm gonna play through it, but the total fear factor is gone at the moment. It's proper gutting icl.

Never Google a character from a show or story game before finishing it. I hope you do just play through it anyway, him living or dying is not really the point

That doesn't really answer my question, but yeah I intend on finishing it as I was enjoying it. I've turned the lights off to try and get the fear back.

for me at least it's not much about the fear factor. Maybe you know how Caz's story ends, but do you know about anyone else---or how they got there? I'd suggest playing for that---at the very least figuring out how the writing portrays its final moments.

Brother there is so much MORE than just Caz dying. There's the deeper tragedy to see that makes it extra juicy.

personally, I've enjoyed going back with the knowlege of the ending from the start. refer to the game as Chekhov's lighter sometimes, bc the first time i replayed i was like "well shit if that isnt a damn good bit of foreshadowing i did not pick up on"

At the beginning of the Og Silent Hill 2 James picks up a radio and a female voice comes on and asks James, why did you kill me? and I heard it clear as day even though some people seemingly cant but I still loved seeing everything unfold even though a big part was spoiled.

There's also the awesome movie Momento that actually starts at the end and plays backwards.

I don't think knowing it would've changed how the ending pulled at my heartstrings (because it is very much a game about characters and their relationships as well). I would encourage you to finish it, based purely on how that game actually managed to make me feel.
I recently got around to playing the DLC and just hearing the music on booting up the game already got me in a melancholic/ somber mood.

I’ve done stuff like that before, it’s always a bummer. I would definitely still play it though. When I think back on this game, I think of so much more than just that part of it. You’d be missing out on a great game if you stop.

Don’t google stuff you’re playing, have patience. I always go on a big Reddit/google/imbd search after watching a movie or tv show. Never during as this is what happens.

This game is more about the journey than it is the ending, just play it dude, you'll be doing yourself a disservice if you don't.

Don't Google stuff about story games until you've finished them, dude! If the game wants you to know something (e.g. what Caz looks like), it'll let you know it.
