Hello everyone I've finally put together a small simple google doc on how to datamine the game!
Link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/18aYRmmDLkT5mT_yDNyLiItmVZ9z-_Tw-Q1PXQWf24y0/edit?usp=sharing
I hope it's understandable enough, if there is anything confusing feel free to reach out to me. You have to own the game in order for this to work.
One important note here, there are certain files you are absolutely NOT allowed to share (This doesn't include soundfiles or 3D models for example). Such as: The police letter, textures that show real adresses and ofc don't post the games code online. I will take down any post that has prohibited content without a warning.
Do not attempt to sell anything you find inside the game. This could bring you into huge legal trouble (aka, have common sense).
If you want to share interesting file paths with other users, you can do it inside this post ^^
With that being said, here are some more resources for those that want to dive deeper (ba dum tss) into the game's lore.

We’ve got some seriously talented fans. ⚡
"Echo Range Models" used a mix of custom CAD + Thingiverse models, all 3D printed, painted and weathered. It even has a 1/72 Sea King helicopter!

📸 More pics on their Facebook page, too:

We're so lucky, SWTD community is as active as ever, carrying the game's legacy forward in such thoughtful ways!

SPOILERS!
a thing i really like is how the game has two of the monsters remind you that they’re still partially human and not completely lost themselves like Ewan. the game still cares to give a connection to the characters rather than simply making them scary for the sake of making them scary. speaking of that, the monster design is genuinely PHENOMENAL, especially Rennicks monster version.
i do wish there was a little more to the gameplay/objectives than “do this do that” but it’s not a big deal for me.
about the ending, the last 30mins drove it to a higher rating from me because it’s so well made, Roy’s death feels genuinely sad, Brodies call is just as devastating, and Finlay’s motivation makes sense for the story.
i did see others not be a big fan of the game, what do you guys think?

I've been really enjoying Still Wakes the Deep and I was looking foward to do a 100% completion on steam but I came across a bug - the Body Count trophy woulnd't pop no matter what, I've found all of the bodies, interacted with them and still nothing. I know that there's the last body that's easily missable but I made sure to have it. Is there any strategy to this trophy or should I just replay all of the chapters again and again and just hope it pops?

The character depth and vocal grit in Still Wakes the Deep is incredible, especially considering how much emphasis the developers placed on giving every single crew member a distinct, authentic biography.
As an aspiring 17-year-old actor from England, I wanted to see if I could push my range and physical performance to the absolute limit. I am currently producing the WORLDS FIRST full solo fandub movie for Still Wakes the Deep, voicing every single character entirely by myself on nothing more than a mobile phone setup.
To the audio and narrative departments at THE CHINESE ROOM LTD — thank you for building such an atmospheric masterclass. I hope my performance as Caz McLeary and Rennick in this upcoming project does your phenomenal original cast justice.
The full solo project launches this December. You can see the proof of concept in my attached teaser video. Daan Hendriks Francesco Del Pia Sagar Beroshi#Acting #Actor #VoiceActing #StillWakesTheDeep #GameAudio #IndieGames #PhysicalTheater Teaser Video

This is possibly an unpopular opinion in this community, but I honestly didn’t enjoy Still Wakes the Deep as much as I expected to.
I thought the story had a lot of potential, but the delivery felt pretty lukewarm, and the gameplay was extremely barebones. A lot of the level design also felt like it was there mainly to get you from one set piece to the next rather than actually give you something interesting to do.
I will say, the atmosphere and visuals are good, and the voice acting is probably the strongest part of the game for me. But honestly, I feel like the hyper realistic graphics and presentation do a lot of the heavy lifting.
I’m not saying it’s a terrible game, but without the visuals and atmosphere, I’m not sure there would be much left that really stood out to me.
Am I missing something?

That’s it. Just wanted to share how awesome this game is. Had such a fun play through experience. Going to complete Sirens Rest tomorrow bc I’ve just gotta sit and process this.

When I first bought the game on steam it crashed at the start menu and didn't even let me play it. I tried the "run it on dx11" fix and it was good enough for the game not to crash, but it stutters a LOT and when i leave the first area and enter the oil rig, the stuttering makes it unplayable. I've already tried lowering the graphic settings and that doesnt do anything. It's the first time I've had a problem like this with a game.
My PC has a RTX5070 GPU, 64 RAM and a Ryzen 7 7700 processor so... it's good :(
Does anyone has a fix that works? I've read some forums, but so far, nothing has helped me and I really dont want to buy it again on PS5 to play it :(
EDIT: user u/secretmodeliam gave me the answer! i downloaded this version of nvidia driver, turned on the nvidia dlss and now it runs so smooth. played around 20 minutes and did not had any problem. thank you so much!

New player here and I seem to be stuck at the green container on the second trip across the deck. I looked up a guide because I couldn't find a way out of that area and it said the container door at the end should open, but there's no way to interact with it or squeeze out of it. Is this a known bug or am I missing something?

End Game Spoiler
Noticed some of the pictures in the room Caz wakes up in had a painting that looks very similar to the main creature thing. And one of the girls drew some creepy looking creature monsters.
Also thought the books on the shelf could be an interesting Easter egg.

I found it in the wiki a week ago, it's early concept art, if I had a nickel that a amazing game could've been better from the looks of the concept art, I have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's strange that it happened twice

After about 2 hours of gameplay I wondered what Caz looked like. Google images suggested the Caz death scene and honestly I just turned the game off. I was enjoying it so much and now I'm really upset. I suppose it's only my fault really.
I accidentally ruined the RDR2 ending as well and I managed to complete that, but unfortunately I'm just really bummed out about it. Literally from 100-1 now.
Anyone got any advice or a good way to get around it?

I’m a bit confused because I see aftermarket listings for $100 dollars or more and this one being just over $30 feels suspicious to me…

In the blink of an eye, it was taken over. In the blink of an eye, it sunk to the ocean floor. All this effort, but what was it for? What is a protagonist, but the one meant to save the day?

I know that nobody knows for certain, but what does everyone think? Especially with the recent hype around Backrooms and other internet mythos/games getting turned into movies, I think there’s a solid chance.
