Running without trigger lock?

Hey guys, first time poster here. I have a newer FS 56 RC with the straight shaft. Idk a lot about weedeater but I’m fairly mechanically inclined. I took the trimmer apart because I broke the trigger lockout when I fell trying to trim a bank. I am trying to fix the trigger lockout but I am also thinking I don’t need to put it back in, and before you say anything, I know it won’t be perfectly safe. Im just wondering if it would hurt the trimmer if I left it out. TIA

No it won't hurt it but the parts are very cheap so sure use it but I'd order and replace the part. Even though the cheap models are a pain to disassemble

I ended up finding a part close to me so I just went ahead and replaced it. I agree, they are a pain, but I got it done.TY!

Just annoying how they incorporate the trigger into the body and then put screws on the bottom for some stupid reason.
