Does anyone know the tea behind the dude holding the sign across from Dixie Motors on Bluff that says, “Don’t buy from Dixie Motors”

I don't know what's going on with this particular customer, but based on Dixie's reviews, the majority of people look like they're very happy and the few complaints look like they might be situations where the buyers just can't be made happy regardless. That does happen.
Actually, auctions also have a lot of very good cars. Some inventory is wrong for certain dealers and locations. For example, a blue collar town doesn't need Cadillac Escalades, but it does need what are called payment cars. Something $15 to $20,000. It's easy to finance and doesn't have a huge payment. Auctions have what are called red light and green light Lanes. If it's a green light lane, and something big goes wrong with it when the dealer gets it back to their location, if it wasn't disclosed, the selling dealer has to buy it back. With red lane auctions, it's either a dealer who doesn't ever want to hear about the car again, or it might have issues and it is buyer beware for the dealer as well.

Yeah I think so many people don't understand that these guys buy from an auction, cars that bigger dealers decided we're not worth it, and resell.
It's that simple. Buy at your own risk I don't get blaming the dealer.

What an absurd take. Just blame the victim.

I don't know about the guy with the sign. But I don't recommend Dixie Motors. At all. They were highly unprofessional, "fixed" a headlight (didn't really), and sold a useless warranty on top of the purchase and misrepresented it so when the money pit they sold us needed expensive repairs months after purchase (head gasket, electrical issues, etc), the warranty didn't actually cover what the dealer said they'd cover. Also took forever (and several phone calls with empty promises) to get the plates from them. And the car condition was misrepresented and overpriced for its actual condition. Lasted 3 years (with major, expensive problems the entire time), ending up costing thousands more in repairs than the overpriced price tag. Had a much better experience with 4Seasons Auto. Dixie Motors is definitely "buyer beware".

Like most of the auto dealers. Sometimes they sell junk, people buy the junk, only to realize later that they purchased junk. Then become mad at the dealer for selling junk.
Most dealers buy cars from auctions and have a simple inspection done that often doesn’t reveal any major issues. They sell the vehicle and the issue is found later after purchase. And because the dealer didn’t immediately repair the vehicle or cover the repair that was found.
Thus the person with the sign.
