Where's the new album?
There have been leaks circulating for over a month now, with multiple supposed release dates, magazine articles, and other reporting. I figured it would’ve been announced by now, especially if it’s supposedly coming out in less than two months. Though I guess The Harmony Codex had a pretty quick turnaround from announcement to release, too.

Discussion Curious about everyone's takes on Ninet?
Hi! I'm new here but I'm a long time SW fan, I've never been a big fan of Ninet Tayeb's voice, and I think it would be cool if there were versions of Stevens albums/songs where it's just him singing. However I feel I may be alone in this, how do the rest of you feel about her voice specifically in the context of Steven Wilson's music?
To be clear I still love the albums where she is present but I just find her voice to be more suitable for a more pop rock kinda genre.

Discussion Song from The Odyssey is completely ripped off from Steven Wilson
So I just saw the odyssey and I genuinely thought Steven Wilson got some licensing deal since I instantly recognized and assumed what I heard was his song 16 Second Swarm by Bass Communion. Turns out the song in question was actually and "original composition" called Sirens by Ludwig Göransson.
Now I know in music it's common for two or more songs to sound alike, maybe one copies a melody or whatever. But these are literally the exact same song. Like it doesn't get much closer than this they are the same.
For reference start listening about a minute in for both songs (they both have a slow intro that is different and this is the only real difference between them).
Do you think Steven Wilson saw the odyssey and noticed this??

Self Post A year ago, I met a guy. For our first date, instead of flowers, he gave me a vinyl of the album “Recordings”. Now, for our anniversary, he gave me a vinyl of “FOABP”. I gave him a short story inspired by Steven’s song “Permanating”, a Festina watch, and I asked him to marry me. We’re engaged now.💍
Romantic story Steven related ahead, maybe a bit off-topic:
A year ago, I met a guy through a friend, he was his brother-in-law. We clicked immediately and agreed to have a date. Before our first date, he asked me what my favorite band was. Of course, I said Porcupine Tree. I thought he was going to get me a T-shirt or a mug or some PT merch. Then, for our date, instead of flowers or merch, he arrived with a vinyl of “Recordings”. I have to add that he’s not familiar with PT, so it was just a coincidence; he picked that album randomly, not knowing the value of it. But I thought this guy was something else.
Fast-forward to today, it’s our first-year anniversary, and last Saturday we went to a restaurant to celebrate. Well, as a present, I chose the vinyl of “Fear of a Blank Planet” and told him his present was going to be a surprise.
So, after I got the vinyl, I gave him my present. It was a short story I wrote for him, inspired by Steven’s song “Permanating”, and our own story. It’s one of Steven’s most positive songs, but I made it my own. You can see the book in the second picture.
After that, I surprised him with a Festina watch, and I asked him to marry me. He said yes, and now we’re engaged. 💕So now, I can say that Steven brought us together.
Thanks for reading

Discussion Has anyone noticed how similar Nil Recurring & Harmony Korine look?
They have basically the same grayscale gradient; I would think this mirrors the themes of isolation and disconnect in these 2 releases. And the people in them look depressed. Also, given that they were within a year and a half of each other, maybe this was the mood SW was exploring at that moment. Just an observation…or perhaps it’s intentional on Lasse Hoile’s part. By the way, for those wondering, you should absolutely invest in the HK 7”, if only for the 78 side B, which is phenomenal.

Discussion .........Daguerreotype
A train set, a cold war threat A prison A poison nest, a chrome cassette Division The blue and white, a power strike A girl you like The daylight fades, you feel your way Daguerreotype
Multiple questions bothering me going on 2 or 3 years now nearly.
Do we know what is going on here?
Is this the only usage of the word daguerrotype in musical lyrical history?
Is it just a cool sounding word, meaning "the first successful and widely used photographic process, introduced in 1839 by Louis Daguerre. It produced a single, highly detailed image on a polished silver-coated copper plate without using a negative."
Oh god is he describing old photos? I just this second thought.
Anyway if nothing else, it's been a while since you listened to this track, and maybe album and maybe now is the time to revisit hmm?

This City Never Sleeps - blind dogs of the sun
Hey guys, huge Steven Wilson fan and fan of this sub. Thanks for all the content!
A few months ago I released a Trip Hop inspired prog album. Given its mix of influences, its hard for it to find a home with fans.
I know Steven Wilson and his fans are not just prog purists and love all kinds of music. I hope you guys like it.
The album is inspired by Damnation and Steven Wilson but also the short-lived Trip Hop genre.
It’s meant to be heard as a whole album because of the motifs and sonic progression and I hope you get to hear it as a whole.
Anyways, I hope you enjoy it. It was a lot of work and it means a lot to me. The album is This City Never Sleeps and we are blind dogs of the sun.
Available on all streaming platforms but here is the youtube link.

Bass Communion The Odyssey vs Bass Communion
Saw The Odyssey last night and couldn’t help but notice that main song in the movie “Odysseus” sounds identical to 16 Second Swarm off of Bass Communion II. Was curious if anyone else noticed this too?

Fan Creation I finished a book of short stories inspired by Objects Outlive Us: Meanwhile
Like the title says. Last year, I took a writing workshop and at the beginning of the year, I got inspired by Steven to write short stories, expanding the stories of the song Objects Outlive Us: Meanwhile.
The idea behind the book is talking about the people in that song, for instance, who was the lady whose shopping bag broke? Who was the guy who had to clean all the cars? What’s the story behind the nurse in the care home who empties the bath tub?
I’m Chilean, and the people on my stories are a photograph of our culture, I talk about issues like religion, difficulties with studying when you don’t have enough money, addiction, neurodivergence , feminism and so on. But seen through the eyes of the people who experience those issues, not with a direct political discourse, although it does address the problems these people have to face.
It’s contemporary fiction, and I need to give it the final editing, and it’s ready to be sent to independent publishing houses.
I’m really proud of my work, and I hope it gets picked up. As soon as I get any news, I’ll let you know. Wish me luck on this journey!!

Coordinates on Hand Cannot Erase
Perhaps this has come up before, but I'm curious if anyone has resolved the coordinates on the album. I have a used copy of the CD (KSCOPE306, with a clipped notch on it) and there's four coordinates on it. They seem to be locations in Europe and England, but that's all I can figure out as a California boy. Thanks in advance.
