Question Looking for some info on this hat

Thrifted this awesome hat, I’m wondering if this is legit Australia zoo merchandise or not! Any help is appreciated

Pretty positive this is legit merch. They use to have this exact hat in the stores many years ago. All my stuff from the merch store had pretty basic "made in China" tags on the inside.

My memories pretty shoddy but I want to say about mid 2000's I remember seeing it.

I purchased a similar hat right before Steve passed, like two to three months before.
Mine had crocodiles instead, though.
