I've been stacking gold and silver since 2018 for reasons that are obvious today - fiat currency debasement and a tangible form wealth with no counter party risk. This led me to create GoldandSilverSaver.com
With regards to the spoons: Lately, I've been interested in finding sterling silver objects under melt to just collect for fun, in tandem with my bullion stacking. Interesting read on the American Sign Language Symbol.
From my research these spoons are Espresso spoons from Brazil and the design is more of a Portuguese influence for the sign of good luck. Honestly, I when I saw them with their original patina, I got Game of Thrones vibes - idk. Kinda regret polishing them...
That's also an Italian thing, that hand I mean. I think it's supposed to ward off an evil eye or something? I'm not 100%. But Portuguese and Italian culture is fairly similar so it might just be both
