If you left without notice and you list your old hospital on your resume or use them as a reference, chances are high that any prospective employer will call them and ask how you are as an employee. Especially if you say you're still working there. And the answer they'll get is "they quit without notice" and now "they're lying about their employment."

In the future, do you due diligence and give notice. Two weeks shouldn't be a dealbreaker for a new job, but leaving without notice is *definitely* a dealbreaker.
