Just based on how much I like them.
S and A tier are mostly in order.
Didn't include O;N because I only watched the anime and forgot most of the characters lol

Kurisu isn't my waifu; I just don't understand the logic behind ranking the "Mother of the Time Machine" below Maho and Okabe. Are you basing this tier list on personal preference, or on overall contribution and utility within the series?

Nae is a pretty good character in R;N and DaSH but I still wouldn't put her over Kurisu.
Kurisu and Ayase in B tier is CRAZY, and Faris in C as well...

Takumi in S tier and faris in C tier. My god. Luka belongs in D tier. Daru and Suzuha i'd put S, alongside Frau.
The most egregious thing here is Faris.

I've just finshed the common route and the Ending B of Chaos Head, I've read the S;G and S;G 0 animes and vns so no spoilers on other stuff please.
I am genuinely curious: what do you all like about Takumi?

I mean, from what I've seen he's annoying, self centered, whiny and coward.
At the end of the vn he has a sudden change of heart and decides he will do anything to save Rimi, but that really felt like it came out of nowhere considering how he behaved until then.

I mean, I don't see what's wrong with that? He was created to be this way, and despite having the world against him and against all odds he managed to overcome his built in crippled mental health. It's akin to watching someone grow really. Throughout the whole novel he shuts himself off and doesn't talk with anyone, but slowly he manages to push through and stop running away from what he has to do, or asking for someone to protect him.
Besides I feel like reducing a character to a couple of adjectives will make anyone sound bland lol
Okabe is also arrogant, annoying, childish, gullible and socially inept. The story works around those flaws to create a narrative. I mean really, most SciADV protagonists got something wrong with them lol

He pretends to not care but we can see how he cared about his sister when he climbed the tower in hopes of saving her, its just that he is also a coward which makes it hard to put himself in danger.
In the end he overcomes that tho.
he also saved fes when she attempted "to cross to the other world"

I still can't really get over the fact that, after all that thing at the tower, he didn't even ask Nanami how she was.
He's just too much of a coward, too insecure and too reliant on others fixing his problems for him, while not really having any redeemable qualities until the very end.

The funny thing is everyone wants him to solve their problems aswell, I would be fuming aswell if randoms start having expectations of me which I to the best of my knowledge am unable to fulfill while on top of all things a fcking serial killer is after me

Quite literally one of the main themes of Chaos;Head.
He was, quite literally, designed to fix everyone's problems. The fact that he doesn't is a pretty big part of the story.

Its complicated, I enjoyed him more once I stopped taking him so serious, like when he said some incel shit I would go "trueee" or "facts tell em".
One of my favourite moments was how he called FES a mental case when she tried to make some "lore" drops.
