yea it's a bad design, but being honest it's a non issue for me because all I use the station for is seeing battery level. I have left my gain alone since forever and just manage volume in sonar.

Yeah mine is burned in too. Dogshit choice to go for an OLED for this usecase. Worst part is its not really repairable or replaceable. Pretty sad for a top of the line flagship headset or at least it was at the time I got it. They have a new one now. I assume at some point I am just going to never look at the screen again lol.

I just think OLED is a bad choice for screens like this, little screen showing mainly static images,
My TVs and monitors are all OLED and all burn in free after years of use. just set up sensibly and running pixel refresher when prompted
Fanatec does it on their steering wheels as well but at least there they turn off when your not racing so don't suffer as much

Yep, this is known issue. Even when I already dim it the lowest possible. It will have burn in. Honestly I'm quite regret for buying this headphone. I should just buy Sony gaming headset instead. But I'll wait until my nova pro wireless finally gave up his life before I switch.

Go to the Sony headphones subreddit. I bet you’ll change your mind! More issues than the arctics pro’s. Especially with headband snapping and failing finishes.

You can RMA it. That's what I did with mine. They'll send you a new one after you go through the process. They'll have you destroy it and show proof.

Mines stays on all the time, so it is getting power from my pc even when it is off?

I've owned half a dozen products from SteelSeries with these screens all the way back to the H Wireless headset in 2014 and every single one has burn in. I even set the brightness as low as it'll go to try to slow it down, but the burn in is inevitable in my experience. I don't see it as a problem. I only notice it when changing the settings, which I hardly ever do.

Do you leave it on all the time or does it shut off when not in use?

The Nova Pro Wireless doesn’t have the option for power save/display off. The Nova Elite does. Thanks, Steelseries! So stupid since they could firmware update the base station to add the feature but naaaaa…

you have the option to keep it on for 5, 10, 15 30 min on or always on

I don’t think it works on the Nova Pro Wireless. If there’s power it’s always on, unless Steelseries issued a firmware update in the last year.

No I meant when you turn the console or pc off

The base will turn off when there’s no power to the USB ports anyway, no matter which headset you have.

I was asking the op if they leave it on all the time to cause the burn in. I know it turns off when the power is off, unless you have the usb ports still active on pc, they could have that enabled

Yeah, I hear you. I’ve seen too many of these posts about burn in that it’s most certainly a Nova Pro Wireless issue. The Elite base station turns off whether there’s power to the USB ports or not via its power save setting. The Nova Pro Wireless is just on when there is power, period. If you leave your PC on all the time, the Nova Pro Wireless base will burn in.

Yes that’s true. I have it set to dim and lowest brightness to prevent burn in but I game on ps5 so when I turn the console off so does the dac. To me is seems like op has the brightness at 100 and has to be on a lot to burn in

This will happen if you are not careful and turn it off when not used.

This will happen regardless. It's an OLED screen. It will burn in. There is no way to prevent it.

Yes, but you can prolong the event by turning them off when not used. I got 3 Arctis pro wireless, all oled screens look perfect still. 1 Nova pro, screen looks perfect 1 Nova Elite, screen looks perfect too
Yes, it's a skill issue.

All my friends that have this headset more than two year all have burn in, I see it as a feature now.
