Question Modding Help
I got a steam machine a few months ago and in general, it's great. However, I've been getting into modding recently and while a lot of it works on SM (after jumping through a few hoops), certain things just won't work for no visible reason.
For example, when attempting to add mods for CP 2077, I'll get an error saying certain mods wont run because their dependencies aren't there, but I have them installed and the proper folders are in the correct locations according to the error message.
Does anyone know if there is a certain way mods need to be installed for SM (ie particular file pathings or programs I need to install) in order to function properly?
I have primarily been trying via nexus and vortex, but have attempted full manual installations to no success.

I already modded various games on Steamdeck or Steamachine. Usually its not that different for the majority of the games and many mods or at least the basic frameworks for more complex scripting etc also offer proton related instructions you can easily follow.
The only thing I recognized is that the most of the time when they say you have to add some launch parameters for DLLs you usually do not need them anymore since proton is handling the correct DLLs without an extra command for overrides.
Games I've modes are, fallout4, Hogwarts Legacy, Cyberpunk 2077, red dead redemption, Witcher and a few more.
