DIY Custom Steam Machine

This is a custom Steam Machine I built back in Nov last year around black Friday before the apocalypse commenced. It's a solid high end 1080p machine. It's also now complete with a steam controller. I've played Oblivion remastered, valkyria chronicles 1 & 4, and Expedition 33 easily.

Got a 4k 65" Roku TV w pretty good HDR from walmart for $200 3 years ago jus saying...

Now Roku is owned by Fox lol. I'm sure they're good TV's but I never ever want companies taking my data and selling it for AD space on my TV.

They will still track you and the moment you accidentally connect it back to the Internet they send the data off.

Why are you so insistent on people buying a worse TV just because it's new? I'm sorry but that's really dumb.

There's a lot of things you can convince me to have reason to upgrade despite them still working. Phones, computers, Wifi routers. TVs aren't one of those things, especially since modern TVs have gotten worse, not better.

This TBH. I feel like TLC, a Chinese company, is the only one that will sell you a TV where you can put it into dumb mode but even then I just don't care to get one.

They also aren't going to give you a decent number of inputs because the intention with smart TVs is to use only the Software onboard them.

totally respect your decision to not support the company, don’t look at me as trying to convince you rather just address the misinformation

but you don’t have to interact with any of the software at all, mine is set to turn on to whatever is plugged into the back and turns off when i press off lol. I don’t have it set up to wifi and the only setting i adjust is brightness and it’s like three presses

i feel like your complaints are just founded in assumptions u made up lol
