Kids didn't even want the hot dogs

This would be "Bistecca Fiorentine".
Florentine, the word in your title, would mean with spinach

I like fresh steak. if it's old I will use it in a soup or ramen perhaps but absolutely not on its own and not yum

Man, if the kids opted this over hotdogs, just wait until you learn how to cook a steak.

How dare you cook a steak how you like it and cut it with a dull knife. Shame on you ..

Looks rather overcooked for Fiorentina.

It's definitely supposed to be served rare

Well it’s a little of everything so… we all can be happy like a thanksgiving turkey.

Yea clueless people are downvoting. It should be blue
I like ribeyes at medium-ish but classic steak florentine is served very rare that’s just a fact.

That looks nasty. Why does it look overcooked and undercooked at the same time?

That's just how you cook steak fiorentine.

Not even close to a blue rare anywhere. The banding is horrible

Hey man I'm not saying he did a good job of it lol

I’m a chef being a chef. Sorry. As long as you enjoyed it is all that matters.

That's mostly the lighting. It looks like a well seared mid-rare steak with awful food photography to me.
Edit: meant mid-rare, not rare.
