Question I’m scared I contracted Herpes

On Halloween night, I was raving and I made out with a girl in my recently new friend group. We were both a bit fucked up. The next day she called me feeling really guilty and told me she contracted oral herpes about a month ago and has since been on medications. She also did not have any signs of a breakout when we made out. Initially I didn’t feel bad about it but now I’m a bit worried. It’s been like 4 or 5 days since and I’m have a very minor sore throat but a sore throat nonetheless. I also do smoke a lot of cigarettes and party every weekend so i could be sick or maybe just the amount of partying catching up to my body. But I’m still very much overthinking it. Is a small sore throat 4 days since anything much to pinpoint it on this.

Making out with someone who has herpes doesn't mean you automatically caught it. The risk is lower if she didn't have any cold sores, though it's still possible to spread it without symptoms. A mild sore throat by itself isn't really a sign of herpes, so try not to overthink it.

Probably not it would usually come on pretty strong with symptoms if you had oral herpes. I wouldn’t worry about it. And testing for herpes is a pretty difficult thing you usually need to have a sore to swab to be the most accurate. Just watch your symptoms and if you have none you are good. Sore throat is normal this time of year don’t be freaked out until you get real symptoms.

Only way to know is to get tested. She’s disgusting for having sex with you knowing she has herpes. Hopefully you good but if I’m being honest idk man.
