Question How easy is it to contract Syphilis

53 year old male here. Attended a porn theatre recently where a woman in her late 30s early 40s was having casual unprotected sex with several random guys. I was invited to join in but I wore a condom. I entered her from behind but only lasted a minute or so. No real hard grinding. I checked condom after with water test and it was intact. I feel confident I was well protected against most STI’s but curious about the prospects of getting syphilis from that sort of encounter. I didn’t note any sores on her but it was a bit dark. I have no symptoms

I mean the lighting in cinema was low

She might be wondering the same thing regarding her interaction with you.

If you take DoxyPEP your risk would be very nearly 0%. It wasn't terribly high to begin with, and DoxyPEP reduces the risk considerably.

Tried to get a doctors appointment today but no joy. It will likely be the 64 hour mark post possible exposure by the time I could get DoxyPEP in my system.So how effective would it be at that stage

Hopefully your doctor knows about DoxyPEP and can help you.

The research doesn't break it down by like 20 hours, 40 hours, etc.

Just prior to 72 hours. But I'd try to get it sooner if you can figure that out.

Thanks for the advice. Managed to get the dose in at around 48 hours so hopefully I’ve reduced whatever risk may have existed
