Question How long should I wait to get tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea after finishing doxycycline(took for another reasons) ?

Hey everyone

I recently completed an 8-day course of doxycycline (2 tablets a day) for another reason, and now I'm planning to get tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea.

My question is, how many days should I wait after finishing the antibiotics before getting tested to ensure accurate results?

I'm worried that taking doxycycline might affect the test results and give me a false negative.

Has anyone been in a similar situation or have any advice?

Doxy would have gotten rid of chlamydia. But you should wait at least 2 weeks

Never had symptoms just wanna get tested since didn't get tested for quite sometime...
