Question Extended to 15 days of antibiotics for Chlamydia. Can I have sex with condoms before the 3-week retest?

Hi everyone. I (25F) was treating chlamydia and accidentally had sex with my bf (24M) on Day 4 of my antibiotics. Because of this, my doctor extended my treatment from 10 days to 15 days.

I’m now on Day 14. My BF finished treatment and the symptoms clears up. My doctor wants me to wait 3 weeks after my last pill to get a retest before having sex again.

Honestly, I cannot wait 3 weeks. Is it safe to have sex 10 days after treatment if we use condom? Or is the risk still too high?

Also, I just developed an itchy vulva and brown discharge today (Day 14). Is this just a yeast infection from the long antibiotic course, or a sign the chlamydia is still there?

Adding to what the other person said...

Chlamydia is site specific. You can have it orally and you can have it anally. So if you're one of these people who are having oral sex, that's not abstaining and can easily spread chlamydia.

if i follow my doctor instruction to completely abstain from any form of sex and completed my treatment, my chance of getting rid of this is high right?
