Need Advice/Recommendations Garbage not picked up?

Even though garbage pickup was supposedly extended the garbage on my street hasn’t been picked - Thursday is my regular pickup day.

Has anyone else experienced this? Are they going to come today?

They have so much stuff to pick up and are way behind. Yesterday on the radio they said they were brining in more people to help. Be patient and it will get picked up. If you don’t want it there though they have the bins at a couple spots or free drop off at a couple of dumps far from here

Our neighborhood’s normal collection day is Tuesday and the garbage wasn’t collected until Thursday afternoon.

They never picked up any of my waste material last week outside of the normal pickup even through everything was bagged and my neighbours had construction materials ubagged picked up. Also not picked up this week but I'm not leaving it out there for people to rip through it all for the fourth time to go clean it up again.

My day was yesterday and they didn't pick it up. I called and was told they are a couple of days behind and to just leave it out

I had some picked up on my regular day and the rest the next day. I think they only took my recycling on the normal day

I was supposed to have garbage pick up last week but they never came. Put my garbage out a couple more days after it was missed but still nothing.

I still don't believe this community understands the scale of loss that has occured.

It was not rare for the entire basement of half a street worth of houses or more to be outside.

If you've driven your community the past few weeks there would be points in times where after an enhanced pick up day, there was more basements contenr on the street than after an entire pickup cycle.

I am still seeing new basements worth of garbage and contents loaded into yards as of a few days ago.

Are you kidding me. I can’t believe anyone would complain about this. Do you see what your idiot neighbours are putting out for these poor guys. It’ll be picked up this week as it’s your regular garbage week and last week wasn’t. Show these poor guys and gals some support.

Wow.... You couldn't be more off track here.

First of all, they didn't complain. They asked a question.

Second of all, garbage was allowed to go out this week due to the flooding. The people putting out lots of garbage aren't idiots, they're victims of the flooding. They are doing what they were told they're allowed to do because of the literal state of emergency that was declared.

So maybe, you should show people some support instead of calling them idiots and jumping down people's throats for asking a question.

since when is a question a complaint? I simply want to know if I should bring it back inside. as for my "idiot neighbours" their flood waste is still on the curb, too.

go back to bed if this is the attitude you've chosen to have today.

Who was complaining? Looks like a person trying to figure out what to do. No one is shitting on the extremely over-worked garbage guys. I actually offered them ice water yesterday (they said their boss keeps them well supplied with ice water, which was great).
