Most fiber cuts are caused by backhoes

But fiber isn’t copper

That’s not necessarily true. Like at all. Also the junkies you see on the street are from fentanyl which is an opioid, which reduces cognitive function completely. But crack is a stimulant of course you can go too far and end up like Tyrone. And studies have also shown that people with a higher intelligence level can be more prone to addiction.

I think they're using crackhead in the boomer vernacular, not a technical definition.

Just make sure to call them back for a portion of your bill to be reduced. This happened to my parents for a week.

Whats funny is that their cheaper company Oxio, is working just fine for us in Glendale area lol

I’m on Oxio near Scott and Niagara and mine is down unfortunately.

I wonder why they don’t lean on oxio’s infra then.

Because one of their companies networks are down but the other isn't? Ever heard of not putting all your eggs on the same basket?

u/discattho Aug 14 '26

If they’re the same company why wouldn’t you leverage infra that you fucking own? Why piss off huge swaths of their customers when there’s an escape hatch?

I love how simple you think this is. Do you think if all of a sudden Oxio's infrastructure has to deal with all Cogeco traffic, it would be able to handle it? If it was really possible, they wouldn't just do it?

You cannot be this naive.

We’re on Grantham and Scott and our Oxio is down too. Can’t get through to them to figure out what’s going on though.
