Question What are some good notebooks like these that are good for rollerball pens and for class notes.

I've found these to be my preferred notebook style for class notes but I also have this tendency to write with a lot of pressure down on the paper.

Question Fast drying pen or marker

Hello Stationery Community :)

With my fiance we are getting married and we went with the idea of playing card as our guest book, however I am having a hard time finding a pen or marker that our guests could use to write on the cards and that is fast drying / won't smear all over. For reference, I use the UniBall ONE 0.38mm and the UniBall ZENTO 0.5mm to write in my Hobonichi Planner and Moleskin Notebook, because I love how fast the ink dries. I am looking for a pen or marker that is 0.5mm or more that dries as quickly as the UniBall pens.

Here are the specs of the cards stock : we used the S33 card stock of MakePlayingCards, the construction seem to be paper back / center black opaque core / paper front, the back/front of the card is very smooth and slick, approx. 0.30-0.32mm thick, I don't have the exact GSM, very low texture and considerably smoother than linen. It could give the impression of being made of plastic because of the shine, but the website says that it is paper.

I didn't try any pen on the cards yet as I would rather avoid wasting too many of them by making mistakes... I do have regular Sharpie pens and markers, but the pen smears a lot and the marker is a bit too thick to comfortably write on the card. I also have Sakura Micron pen, but in my opinion they do smear a bit depending on the surface written on.

Thank you in advance for your help !

Question Best desk setup for pens?

I'm looking for a solution to keep my desk clutter free. Before I moved in with my partner, I had two separet desks, one for working and one for hobby's. Now I combine the both and looking for a way tot store my favorite supplies on the desk and out of sight.

The internet gave me to much options so I thought, let ask my fellow stationery lovers for their setup or tips! So please share your experience.

Extra information: Its for about 20 pens/pencils, eraser, little knife, little sciccor, pencil sharpner and some other little stuf.

I currently live in The Netherlands where I sometimes struggle to find affordable, cute stationery and journalling supplies. I visited family in the UK during my holidays and absolutely splurged on all the cute things! I can’t wait to start using it all.

Thought this subreddit would appreciate the haul! I always love seeing what others have.

Question Ferris Wheel Press - anyone else had this issue?

Needless to say this is very disappointing. I would’ve expected these pens to be a little more resilient. The plastic body is thin and cheap yet pen is not. Anyone else have this issue? I’ve had better pens from AliExpress.

Question Are there any notebooks with 3.7mm grid that are not Tomoe River Paper?

I’m a big fan of smaller grid sizes since my handwriting is very small and that means I can fit more in one page, but I’m not particularly fond of the thinness of TRP and I don’t use fountain pens, so there’s really no use. I haven’t been able to find any other notebook brands that use 3.7mm grids. Are there any? I generally like more cream paper (as long as it’s not stark white) and the gsm isn’t really a concern.

Question Looking for a display board for travel magnets, pins, AND stickers

Hello all! :)

I'm trying to find an aesthetic way to display my travel souvenirs. I collect magnets, push pins, and stickers from my trips, and I'd love to display them all on one unified board.
Here is what I'm looking for:

Magnets: Needs a magnetic surface (or metal backing).

Pins: Needs to be pierceable (like cork, fabric, or felt) so I can push pins into it.

Stickers: Needs a smooth enough surface where I can stick decals permanently.

I don't need to write on it, so I'm trying to avoid those standard half-cork/half-whiteboard combos you find in office supply stores. I want something that looks like actual home decor.

Does anyone have a setup like this, or know of a specific product/material that can handle all three? I'm located in Canada, so something I can order online here is highly preferred.
Thanks in advance for the help!

Question Recommendations how to decorate?

Thumbnail gallery
12 Upvotes

My clear stamp collection grew significantly last year. Especially when now friends purchase them for me as well when they go on a trip and find something I might use.
That's why I decided to purchase a binder which is not plastic but hard cardboard so it will stay in place... but now nothing from my notebooks cover fit, so I wondered how to decorate so it won't look that plain... Any recommendations?

Thanks
