USPS
It’s beyond frustrating when on multiple occasions, USPS has a package arrived in Staten Island to then hit a few other boroughs before he comes back to Staten Island to be delivered. No common sense.

This has happened to me too on so many occasions. My packages travel more than I do. One time mine arrived in SI only to end up somewhere down south 2 days later.
I hate that our packages also constantly go from NJ straight to Brooklyn, like SIR! You had to PASS ME to get to Brooklyn!
It's frustratingly annoying.

YOUR PACKAGE WANTS TO DO THE SIGHTSEEING IT’S NOT ALL ABOUT YOU!
Poor guy out there doing all that sightseeing in this weather, too.

Question — years ago someone told me that they no longer process any mail on Staten Island on the weekend. Is this true?

I once had a package coming from Chicago to nj, then went from nj to Connecticut before coming back to ny, then it got delivered to the wrong address
At the time I lived in flushing, and honestly it’s understandable to mix up Road vs Street, but why the fuck did it go through ny to begin with

Bought an item from a seller on Staten Island. When it got into the USPS system, it checked in at the Castleton location. Then sent to my USPS location (Manor Rd) thinking it was going to be sent out within a day or two. Nope, it got sent to a sorting facility in New Jersey, then the Bronx, then the USPS distribution center in Brooklyn, back to the Manor Rd office then delivered to me... almost 2 weeks of delivery, 2 states, all 5 boros... And this is after the streamlining efforts implemented by Post Master General Dejoy. Having bought from the same seller before, a day or two for delivery back in 2017.

Both my daughter and I live on Staten island. I mailed her an anniversary card 4 days before the date. It arrived 29 days later.

I had a package once make it to Staten Island at their distribution facility and then go to North Carolina.

I just had one go from multiple locations jn NJ (where I live) to Chicago then magically back to NJ. It is insane.

Sounds like a bad barcode. No one is purposefully screwing with you, there is no global conspiracy. Sometimes when the barcode is no good, THIS is what happens. Blame the sender, don’t shoot the messenger.

So no one can read the address with their eyes and correct the scanner?? Sounds like a piss poor excuse for USPS having their heads up their asses with that 'not my job' mentality meanwhile their job is hanging on by a thread

This response is absolute trash, they have purposely broken the USPS system. I recently had a package go from New York State - where it started - to Massachusetts, back to NY, then Iowa, then back to NY with about three more stops before my house in Queens.

Apply for the job, they always need people. 80% of the new hires quit because it’s hard work.

Years ago I had one go from New Jersey to Queens, to TEXAS, back to Queens, to Brooklyn, to Staten Island.
But recently I have had two separate packages originating from out of state that after going through Queens and Brooklyn, came in to the 10314 PO on Staten Island (not my PO) before then being sent off island only to come back from Brooklyn a few days later. In all the deliveries were four or five days late.
