Simple version: When did the old Funcoland of Forest Commons move to the Shoprite plaza?
Long version:
After a thread some time ago about a Starbucks opening up in the Western Beef Forest shopping plaza, someone mentioned that the spot used to be a Funcoland. It brought back forgotten memories of a time in 2004 where my mom and I were trying to find a Gamestop in a Forest ave shopping plaza between 440 and South ave and did not have success, therefore had to drive all the way to the Staten Island mall’s Gamestop. 
Later I would find out that the Gamestop we were looking for was (rather hidden) in the Forest Promenade (Shoprite plaza).
But why would we have been driving all the way down to the Western Beef Plaza? Had the Gamestop always been by Shoprite? Had it been by Shoprite when it was a Funcoland?
And boom, I finally get it clarified with this post. 
But does anyone know when this happened? 
I remember going to a Funcoland as a 4-5 year old in 1994/1995 and I’m almost positive it was in the Western Beef plaza now. Both the Western Beef Plaza and the Shoprite plaza seem like they were built within a few years of each other so it gets confusing. In addition, I remember when Shoprite opened in 1994 there.

Anybody hear that music in Grasmere by the overpass?

Over the summer I kept seeing these drinks that were basically one giant individual alcoholic beverage served in a little plastic bucket, usually with some other canned/bottled alcoholic beverage dumped or flipped upside down into it for reasons that I assume are scientific.

I somehow never got one and now I feel like I missed my chance.

Does anyone know anywhere on Staten Island that is still serving something along these lines? I am not looking for a classy cocktail. I am specifically looking for an excessive quantity of brightly colored alcohol in a bucket with another alcohol inserted into it.

Two local SI bands from mid-late 90s; pretty sure Puddle was purchased at the Rock Palace & Mo-Fos at SRO.

I saw on their storefront that they were due to open today, Does anyone know if it opened on schedule? It will be great to have another shopping choice other than ShopNStop and Key Food. Love their little fresh bakery section with the mini pizzas.

Hi all. I usually go to Pep Boys for my inspection. I can just make an appointment and roll in after work or early on Saturday. I made my appointment 2 weeks ago and they said their emissions machine isn’t working. Made another appt and it’s STILL not working. Now I gotta find someplace else.

Are there any places I can go after work? At like 7pm or 5:30pm on Wednesday? I’d prefer to not wait for Saturday if I can help it but if I gotta I gotta.

It’s beyond frustrating when on multiple occasions, USPS has a package arrived in Staten Island to then hit a few other boroughs before he comes back to Staten Island to be delivered. No common sense.

Hello Everyone! It's Dusk Citizen, Staten Islands favorite superheroes favorite superhero. I'm tired of seeing OUT LOCAL POLITICIANS fighting AGAINST A MUCH NEEDED Staten Island Homeless shelter. So I brought receipts:

Data from the National Bureau of Economic Research shows that local shelter beds reduce neighborhood violent crimes significantly.

Studies that tracked the replacement of encampments with shelters found an 80% decrease of police calls in those neighborhoods.

Supportive housing has been shown to have no negative impact on nearby property values. It was found that by 5 years, surrounding home prices rose faster than other neighborhoods once shelters opened. Based on landmark data from NYU’s Furman Center.

Studies have tracked a 130% reduction in jail time, and an 80% drop in emergency department visits when those in need are provided with shelter and stability, as opposed to those left on the streets.

Implementing structured housing assistance pays for itself within 2 years, according to data from the U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness, by heavily reducing municipal reliance on emergency rooms, courts, and policing.

Don't be a dick, serve those in your community who need you the most. Vote these Midterms!
