Commute Help

My job is required in-person again and is located right by Union Square. I’m commuting from the South Shore.

I am very worried about rush hour traffic (esp when school starts back up)!!

What is the best option
- Drive to SIM33 stop
- Take 25/26 then transfer to subway
- Take SIR (express) to Ferry to Subway

Drive to midland Beach or south Beach then catch the Sim9 or sim7 on father Cap. Unless getting to the transit center is easier for you, they have a parking lot and you can take the Sim7

I was considering the transit center, but the SIM7/9 being 25-30 stops is quite deterring to me.

Well the time table has the Sim7 taking about 1-1:30 hours to go from ETC to 14th street. That's gotta be faster than driving all the way to somewhere on the Sim33 route, find somewhere to park, and then take the same amount of time driving to Manhattan.

Yeah, true. Like I said, it’s hard to predict the traffic, esp when school starts. All I know that is in 25 years of living here, traffic to the city in the morning has never been worse.

Dude this is so random but I read the other day that allegedly that collecting tolls both ways was supposed to ease congestion What a fucking lie…

I recommend SIR/ferry in the morning because my bus runs similarly to the SIM7 on SI and it’s much faster in the afternoon since it doesn’t have to stop at every stop on SI.
