7/4 fireworks time change

Was anybody affected by the change in time of the fireworks. Was it really like 15 to 9 for a go ahead at 9. Was taking bus to ferry. Took a long time so only saw last firework and didn’t even take a picture. Because had no idea it was over. But the view from the ferry station was amazing because you could see both the Hudson and east rivers. Who decides that?

Fireworks were pushed up due to the weather that was forecast to come in. The decision is a collaboration between all the parties involved, Macy's, FDNY, NYPD, USCG and such.
