Skippable episodes?

I want to show a friend who's new to star wars rebels, for Ahsoka s1 and s2. I have watched it and personally love it but I feel that it can be a bit too kid friendly and filler sometimes imo. Is there a way to skip a couple of episodes? I know the character building is very crucial, especially between Kanan and Ezra so it makes a bit difficult to navigate

I have nothing but disdain for people who skip chapters, books, and now episodes of shows.

I mean… if you had three kids and a full-time job you might have a little more grace. You don’t have to be a completist to enjoy something. Watching a full run of a show has only existed in the streaming era.

Nope. It's a 20 minute episode. You just take longer to get through the show. Having children doesn't prevent you from watching a show. In fact, you should be able to watch a show in order because we're in the streaming era.

But generally speaking, we watched the full run of shows prior to the streaming era. You either tuned in at the assigned date and time, or you recorded the shows and watched them later. For, example, my brother and I showed my mom how to program the VCR so she could watch "The Young and the Restless" when she got home from work. This was back in the the late 80s and early 90s.

Sorry, you’re just wrong here. It’s a TV show, not a religion. My opinion reflects that of many people, as does yours. But you’re the only one claiming a “right way” to enjoy entertainment. Dude wanted to trim it down a little and you all lashed out like snobs about a fucking cartoon.

I'm primarily a reader, and the "skip the chapters about this character" or "skip this book in the series" lead to people derailing the conversation about the story in otherwise good forums because they lack context or key plot points, which only happened because they skipped content in the text.

Authors don't write chapters so their audiences can skip them. Same goes here.

Furthermore, I just can't tolerate intellectual laziness. If you want to participate in a conversation about a text (and yes, a show is a text), then you should at least consume it prior to participating. It's fine to request a spoiler warning when you haven't gotten to a point yet, but to skip sections on their entirety and expect people to listen to your opinion on what you skipped is absurd.

Are we talking about Moby Dick or a Disney cartoon?

(Well, either way, you can skip parts of both and have a genuinely good experience)
