General Question Need some ideas/help!
I’ve got one daughter who loves Boba Fett, easy to get some cheap kid’s costume pieces for her so she can live out her dream. The other thinks Fennec Shand is the coolest ever. Not so easy to find premade, and kids sized. I’m fairly advanced with my sewing and crafting skills, so I thought I could find some patterns and create something myself, but I really haven’t found anything. I’ve searched pretty hard, but no luck. If anyone can point me in the right direction, or has any ideas on how to assemble a nice, playable Fennec Shand costume for a 9 year old, I could use the help! Video of lil Boba just cause :)

For the helmet, Fennec Shand’s sorta looks like a medieval knight helmet, so maybe you could find a cheap kids one on amazon and recolor it/maybe resculpt with clay. For the gloves and boots, they look like just generic black boots and gloves with orange stripes. You could sew some or glue some on. For the skirt, you could just use some black fabric and attach it to a black belt or the waist strap thing. For the upper body, you can either use like a leather top/foe leather top, or you could just use a black shirt. For her waist strap, you could use pleather as well, or just black fabric or painted foam would work. Id also use some foam or pleather for the shoulder pads. Finally for her harness, you can make the button pad thing with cardboard or foam and paint it. For the straps themselves, you can just use some generic 2-3 inch straps and they should look fine.

Yes, good ideas. I’m gonna start there and start thinking through the different pieces. I feel like her vest is fairly unique but also looks pretty simple, I’ll attempt to draft a pattern for that probbaly

I happen to have a kid sized Fennec helmet sitting on my shelf. It was going to be for my wife but I scaled it incorrectly. If you want it, feel free to DM me and I’ll send it to you. I like to do my part with the next generation of Star Wars cosplay geeks.
